About capybara cards

capybara cards is an independent iPhone app built around one idea: better conversations start with a good question. It has 42 decks and more than 7,800 questions for couples, friends and family, from rage bait and would you rather to late night talks. Pick a deck, put one phone between you, tap for a card and talk. There is nothing to set up and it works just as well over FaceTime.

How the questions are written

Every card in the app is written and edited by the capybara cards team, deck by deck, so each deck has its own voice: Rage Bait is petty on purpose, Soft Spot is tender, Pop Quiz is a memory test. We play the decks ourselves and cut anything that falls flat. The sample questions on this website are written for the website; the cards inside the app are different, and there are many more of them.

Who is behind it

A small independent team that makes the app, runs the TikTok accounts and writes this blog. We are not a media company and we do not sell your data: the app has no accounts to create and no ads.

One name, several products

There are other products called Capybara Cards. We are not affiliated with capybaracards.com (a trading card shop) or with any Android app using a similar name. The only official capybara cards app is the iPhone app on the App Store: apps.apple.com/app/id6765753936.
