Texting is crueler, in a good way, because she cannot read your face and has to guess how serious you are. Send one, put the phone face down and do not explain. If she replies with a voice note, you have won.

• Be honest, when I send you a song, do you actually listen past the first chorus?

Low stakes dealbreakers. She will negotiate every line, and the negotiation is the show.

• Would you leave me if I started wearing a bucket hat every day, indoors included?

• If I renamed your cat without telling you and it started answering to the new name, who wins?

Ridiculous what-ifs where the only rule is commitment. These are the ones to save for when she is tired of being trapped, because the answer can be as silly as the question and nobody has to defend anything real. Here is what a good escape sounds like.

• Would you still love me if I started every sentence with "fun fact" for a month?

Example answer: "Fun fact, I would, but the month would feel like a year."

• Would you still love me if I only ever wore your clothes, including to your office party?
• Would you still love me if I replaced our couch with two beanbags and a tiny trampoline?

How to keep it playful

• Small stakes only. Snacks, hats, playlists, fictional strangers. Never real exes, real insecurities or an argument you are still having.
• Let her counter. If she fires one back, answer it honestly. A trap game only works when both of you are in the trap.
• Reward the sweet answer. When she finds a genuinely lovely way out, give her the win. That is what keeps her playing next week.

If you are filming, ask five in one evening, keep the best reaction, and show her the clip before you post it. Pulling the questions from a deck on your phone helps, because you do not have to remember them and the surprise is real for both of you.
